The launch of the EU router database’s for organic seed is approaching! This database will :

  • Simplify access to international organic seed markets for organic farmers and growers;
  • Reduce administrative burdens for national authorities and seed suppliers;
  • Help harmonize the use of databases in the EU and help the European Commission receive more harmonized data on organic seed supplies and information on derogations.

Stay tuned for news about the launch in February! We will post about this on LIVESEED’s website and IFOAM Organics Europe’s website. Follow us on social media to be the first to know: @LIVESEEDeu on Twitter and Facebook, and @OrganicsEurope on Twitter and Facebook.

The database was developed in the framework of the Horizon 2020 funded project LIVESEED. LIVESEED aims to boost organic seed and plant breeding across Europe. IFOAM Organics Europe and FiBL-Switzerland coordinate the project with 50 partners covering 18 EU countries.

LIVESEED has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 727230 and the Swiss State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation under contract number 17.00090.
