IFOAM Organics Europe President newly elected Vice-Chair of Civil Dialogue Group on the CAP

On Thursday 10 December, the Civil Dialogue Group (CDG) on the Common Agricultural Policy elected Jan Plagge, President of IFOAM Organics Europe as Vice-Chair. He chaired the CDG on the CAP for the past two years (the mandate can only be taken twice and is voted on annually).

After the vote, 2020’s last CDG discussed the ongoing CAP trialogue negotiations. The European Commission’s Directorate General of Agriculture (DG AGRI) provided a state of play and updates. Afterwards, an informative session on unfair trading practices and the new vision for the rural area took place.
