SmartAgriHubs final event: 26-28 September, Lison, Portugal

SmartAgriHubs is coming to an end this year and had its final event in Lisbon from 26 to 28 September.

The first day of the SmartAgriHubs event was reserved to its members. The community gathered and discussed the achievements and challenges of the project.

The second and third day, the SmartAgriHubs ecosystem opened its door to the European agricultural and digital innovation community.

On Tuesday, 27 September, the focus of the SmartAgriHubs final event was on synergy with other European projects and prominent actors in the digitisation of agriculture. On the programme were keynote speeches, pitches by the EU projects and workshops on digital innovation in agriculture.

On this day, there were several contributions by IFOAM Organics Europe. Eduardo Cuoco, Director of IFOAM Organics Europe, gave a keynote speech about “Digitalisation in organic agriculture – where we are and where we go”. Moreover, IFOAM Organics Europe held a workshop on how digitalisation can support agroecology.

On Wednesday, 28 September, participants took part to more workshops on digitisation of agriculture and networking in the marketplace. SmartAgriHubs also organised a farm trip to one of its Flagship Innovation Experiments.
