We are excited to announce the re-launch of the Let’s Discuss Organic webinar series in 2024. Following the success of our previous editions. Join our first members-only webinar of the year “Fighting greenwashing with the Green Claims Directive, where does organic fit?”

The focus of this webinar will be on the Green Claims Directive, published by the European Commission on March 22, 2022. The directive aims to combat greenwashing, fostering transparency and reliability in environmental claims. The organic movement has been a steadfast advocate against greenwashing, always leading the way in informing consumers about the environmental excellence of products. The Let’s Discuss Organic webinar will shed light on the intersection between organic practices and the Green Claims Directive. While the organic movement supports the Commission’s efforts, there are concerns about certain aspects of the current proposal.

Leading the discussion is Laura Sauques, Policy Coordinator on CAP and Sustainable Food Systems at IFOAM Organics Europe. During the webinar, Laura will explore the content of the Green Claims proposal, presenting our positions and advocacy work. Additionally, she will provide a comprehensive overview of the political state of play, shedding light on the positions of the European Commission, the European Parliament, and Member States.
