Organic Innovation Days 2023
This year’s edition of TP Organics’ Organic Innovation Days will take place in Brussels on 25-26 October, under the title ‘Citizen-driven transformation of European food systems’.
The first day of the event on 25 October will happen from 10:00 to 14:00 in BluePoint, Brussels. The agenda for the first day will include a welcome and brief introduction from IFOAM’s TP Organics Head of Secretariat: Eduardo Cuoco, followed by a series of presentations and talks about how local initiatives and organic farming can contribute to food security. Before lunch there will be a panel debate followed by a discussion with the audience.
The TP Organics Stakeholder Forum for members only will take place in the afternoon (from 14:00-16:00 CET) after the networking lunch (to which everyone is invited). It provides a unique opportunity for TP Organics Members to meet each other and discuss the latest innovations and policy developments at European level.
The second day of the OID, will take place in another location, Herman Teirlinck Gebouw, Av. du Port 88, Brussels, for this day TP Organic’s partners with the European research and innovation project FoodSHIFT2030, the final conference of the project will be held during this day.
From 10:00 to 16:00, there will be a series of panel debates under the title: ‘The path to sustainable food systems’ of one hour each with breaks of 15 minutes in between.
The first two debates will focus on the FoodSHIFT 2030 project, the first one will be the review of the FoodSHIFT 2030 results through the lenses of Farm2Fork and FOOD 2030 while the second debate will focus on how has FoodSHIFT 2030 supported food system transformation.
The title of the final debates will be: 1) Citizens Empowered – participatory methods towards food system transformation, 2) dichtomy or harmony, what do we really mean by less meat? and 3) how future city regions can activate and implement food system transformation – experienced based observations.
