Conference “Intercropping to boost agroecology in European Agriculture” – Register now! 23 March 2021, online

As the Horizon 2020 multi-actor project ReMIX draws to a close, its final conference will be held online in collaboration with DIVERSify project. Mark 23 March 2021 in your calendar and join us for “Intercropping to boost agroecology in European Agriculture”.

Species mixtures can lead to increased productivity while reducing external inputs and nutrient losses. Furthermore, they can ensure high quality of food and farmers’ income. The projects’ experts will propose solutions boosting the adoption of intercropping, delivering its ecosystem services and supporting wider use and uptake by farmers.

This conference will also discuss species mixtures’ contribution to shifting to more sustainable food systems and preserving ecosystems. At two panel sessions, participants will discuss the role of intercropping in the EU’s agri-food chains and agroecology within the Farm to Fork and Biodiversity strategies.

Join us to learn about designing cropping systems less dependent on external input while increasing yields and ensuring returns to farmers. Check the full program and stay up to date by visiting the ReMIX website.
