IFOAM EU welcomes the Steering Committee (SC) of its Interest Group on Certification and Integrity (IGOC)

On 6 May, IFOAM EU’s Interest Group of Certification and Integrity (IGOC) elected a Steering Committee (SC) to ensure the group’s decisions are taken in the common interest. The SC is composed of 6 members from different sectors to ensure all organic operators are well represented.

Jan Wicher Krol from SKAL Biocontrol, chairs the Interest Group of Certification and Integrity’s Steering Committee (IGOC’s SC), making sure the members’ needs are taken into account and overseeing the group’s position-making.

In line with the general working methods of the IFOAM EU, IGOC’s SC is working on a definition of integrity in the organic supply chain and on the future of the organic certification in the short, medium, and long term.

IFOAM EU’s IGOC is a forum for exchange on organic certification and integrity of the organic supply chain at national, European, and international level. The IGOC had its kick-off meeting in Brussels in September 2019 and consists of almost 50 IFOAM EU members.
