Register now for a high-level event on smart Farming, digitalization of agriculture and visions for the new Common Agricultural Policy (CAP)

On 29 January, the projects IoF2020 and SmartAgriHubs will hold their high level event in the European Parliament in Brussels. Eduardo Cuoco, IFOAM EU Director, will speak in the opening panel devoted to the agriculture and food challenges and the role of digitalisation. Consult the full programme.

The event is composed of 3 sessions, each chaired by a Member of the EU Parliament with expertise of the topic. Major stakeholders and experts details the benefits of the using the Internet of Things (IoT) for EU farmers and to contribute to the debate.

The Internet of Food and Farm 2020 (IoF2020) is a large-scale pilot under Horizon 2020 with 30 million budget that investigates and fosters a large-scale implementation of Internet of Things in the European farming and food sector. It will demonstrate the added value of smart webs of connected objects that are context-sensitive and can be identified, sensed and controlled remotely in the agri-food sector. 11 pilot cases are relevant for organic food & farming.
