EU Organic Day 2025

What is EU Organic Day?
23 September, EU Organic Day, is the ideal opportunity to widely celebrate the organic sector and to evaluate Europe’s progress towards achieving its goal of 25% organic land by 2030.
Officially launched in 2021 by the European Parliament, the Commission, and the Council of the European Union, this day represents the occasion to, among others, assess trends in consumer demands, continue raising awareness of organic in the supply chain, and finally, define new targets for the future of organic in Europe.
As the European organic movement, we celebrate this day and use it to raise awareness of organic and its benefits. For three years, many of our members joined us celebrating organic online and also organised their own events celebrating in the spirit of organic’s principles of Health, Ecology, Fairness, and Care.
These organisations, initiatives, and events gave a face and more visibility to the organic movement and sector in September!

Join us at the 10th anniversary of Tech&Bio Fair, 24 & 25 September in France

Created in 2007 by the Chambers of Agriculture, the Tech&Bio Fair returns for its 10th edition. The fair will take place 24 & 25 September 2025 in Bourg-les-Valence in France. This biennial event brings together nearly 500 experts and 375 exhibitors for hands-on workshops, demonstrations, and conferences, showcasing the latest innovations in the organic farming sector.

The Tech&Bio Fair aims to help organic farmers and advisors connect, broaden their knowledge, and refine their farming practices through the latest innovations. The OrganicAdviceNetwork project offers European advisors the opportunity to join the event, through our combined cross visits on Ruminants and Vegetables. A conference will be dedicated to OrganicAdviceNetwork’s mission, building and animating the first European network of organic advisors.

This anniversary edition will feature full-scale demonstrations of innovative equipment and tools, testimonials from pioneering farmers, and meetings with specialised advisors and researchers. The fair also offers a dedicated space for training and support to facilitate the transition toward more sustainable and resilient farming practices.

Tech&Bio has become a key event for agricultural professionals seeking to shift toward more sustainable production methods. Whether you’re already involved in organic farming or simply curious about tomorrow’s solutions, the fair offers the chance to meet major suppliers, explore technical innovations, and receive personalised advice.

We look forward to welcoming many of you to celebrate a decade of innovation and collaboration in support of the agriculture of tomorrow! Find out more.

Plant Food Summit 2025

The Plant Food Summit 2025, happening in Copenhagen on October 20-21, is breaking the mold by bringing together not just plant-based advocates, but also farmers, food industry leaders, researchers, and policymakers—including skeptics—for dialogue and collaboration.

As an official conference of the Danish EU Presidency, the summit will host 500 participants from across Europe, offering insights, inspiration, delicious plant-based food, and visits to Danish plant-based frontrunners, many of them organic.

The summit highlights Denmark’s leadership in plant-based policy, including:

  • A National Action Plan for Plant-Based Foods
  • Europe’s largest Plant-Based Food Grant (€170M) supporting the full value chain
  • Strong synergy with organic farming, with at least 50% of funds dedicated to organic plant-based foods

Breakout sessions will explore building alliances, national and EU policy strategies, and creating demand through food environments.

The summit also launches Danish Plant-Based Diplomacy, supporting European organizations in advocacy, collaboration, and capacity-building for plant-based and organic initiatives.

The event is organized by leading Danish institutions, NGOs, and industry groups, with support from Novo Nordisk Foundation, Open Philanthropy, and Tilt Collective, coordinated by the Dansk Vegetarisk Forening (DVF).

Organic Innovation Days 2025

The 2025 Organic Innovation Days will take place on 3-5 November at the Organic House in Brussels (Rue Marie-Thérèse 11) under the theme “Research & Innovation for organic food and farming: triple lead for sustainable food systems”.

Register here to secure your spot!

As the only EU event dedicated to organic and agroecological research and innovation (R&I), this edition will feature:

  • The launch of TP Organics’ new Strategic Research & Innovation Agenda (SRIA) for Organics and Agroecology
  • The final conference of the Horizon Europe project OrganicTargets4EU
  • The award ceremony of the Organic Advice Contest, organised by OrganicAdviceNetwork

The new SRIA defines research priorities for the next EU R&I Framework Programme (FP10) and outlines the needs for transitioning EU food and farming systems, based on broad consultations throughout 2024-2025.

OrganicTargets4EU (2022-2026) supports the EU’s 25% organic farmland and organic aquaculture targets. With organic farmland projected at only 12% by 2025 and aquaculture growth lagging, the project has developed scenarios, transition pathways, and policy recommendations to help close the gap.

Its final conference, titled “Achieving the EU’s organic goals—progress, impacts, and policy recommendations,” will validate key findings:

  • Day 1 will focus on funding for organic knowledge and innovation
  • Day 2 will present scientific results and policy proposals

OrganicAdviceNetwork (2024-2028) also supports the 25% target by strengthening advisory services across Europe and building a network of specialised organic advisors to support new entrants. The Organic Advice Contest highlights successful advisory models.

TP Organics continues its collaboration with CORE Organic Pleiades, a transnational network supporting organic research through joint projects, running until February 2026.
